Thank you

Thank you to all our network members, partnering and host organisations and extended members of the community who participated in the Borooondara Interfaith Network’s interfaith engagement program in 2012.

To end a very successful and insightful year, ‘Children’s Interfaith Learning: A Dialogue for the Future’ – the final event for 2012, took place on 29 November at Hartwell Primary School. In partnership with the Jewish Christian Muslim Association (JCMA), attendees took part in a reflection on the work and impact of interfaith learning programs delivered in the City’s primary and secondary schools. Parents, community members and local educators came together to discuss this important topic and share each other’s perspectives on the value and role of interfaith learning in children’s’ education.

A full event report is available on the Interfaith Learning page of this blog.

New Community Development Officer – Theresa Rajah

I would like to introduce myself as the new acting Community Development Officer (Access and Diversity) here at the City of Boroondara. I had the pleasure of meeting a number of the Boroondara Interfaith Network’s members at the Children’s Interfaith Learning event and look forward to meeting many more of you in the New Year.

As convenor of the Network it gives me great pleasure to welcome both new and existing members as we look ahead to 2013 and another year of engaging and collaborative events.
