Exploring religion and ecology on world environment day

Smoking Ceremony led by Wurundjeri Elder Bill Nicholson

The Boroondara Interfaith Network marked World Environment Day 2011 with a forum on the theme of Religion and Ecology hosted at the Leo Baeck Centre and in partnership with GreenFaith Australia. The forum captured many of the fears, hopes and strength in community and action that people of different faiths are experiencing in the face of climate change and the complexities of our ecological and social condition. A report of the event, including sound recordings of our interfaith panel, photos and the GreenFaith Australia presentation is available on the Religion and Ecology page of this blog. A big thank you to all those involved in the planning and delivery of this event.
